SwitchBot has expanded its smart lighting lineup with the launch of the new SwitchBot RGBICWW Ceiling Light, a Matter-compatible smart ceiling light that combines everyday illumination with colourful ambient lighting and broad smart home compatibility.
The announcement comes just weeks after OneRobotics, the parent company of SwitchBot, announced Nanoleaf s being acquired by OneRobotics, the parent company behind SwitchBot its planned acquisition of Nanoleaf. Although there is no indication that this new SwitchBot product is connected to the proposed acquisition
The light combines RGBIC colour lighting with warm and cool white LEDs, supporting colour temperatures from 2700K to 6500K alongside smooth brightness adjustment from 1% to 100%. This allows it to provide both bright functional lighting and more immersive coloured lighting depending on the occasion.
Matter and Apple Home
The SwitchBot RGBICWW Ceiling Light features native Matter over WiFI support, allowing it to connect directly with Apple Home, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Home Assistant and Homey without requiring a SwitchBot Hub. In addition to Matter connectivity, the light includes 26 preset lighting scenes, eight dynamic lighting effects, scheduling, routines, remote control through the SwitchBot app and voice control via supported smart home platforms. It also supports the optional SwitchBot Remote for users who prefer physical controls.
Two sizes are available. The 12-inch model produces up to 2,000 lumens, making it well suited to smaller rooms, while the larger 15-inch version delivers up to 3,200 lumens for larger living spaces. The SwitchBot RGBICWW Ceiling Light is available now from SwitchBot’s online store and Amazon, with pricing starting at £42.99 / $36.99.99 for the 12-inch model and £69.99 / $69.99 for the larger 15-inch version.
