Govee has officially introduced the new Table Lamp Classic, now on sale in both Europe and North America. The portable smart lamp combines a traditional table lamp look with modern smart lighting features, offering adjustable white tones, colourful effects, and support for the Matter and of course Apple Home
Designed with a tapered lampshade and compact square base with rounded corners, the lamp is intended for use in a variety of spaces including living rooms, bedrooms, outdoor dining areas, or bedside tables. Inside, the lamp uses an RGBICWW multi-zone LED system with eight controllable lighting segments. It can produce up to 500 lumens of brightness, while adjustable white lighting ranges from a warm 2700K through to a cooler 6500K. Users can create custom scenes or choose from 72 preset lighting effects, with selected modes reacting to music playback.
Using the Govee Home app, owners can also set schedules for brightness and colour changes throughout the day. Connectivity includes 2.4GHz WiFi and Bluetooth for setup and control. Power comes from a built in 4,800mAh rechargeable battery, with Govee quoting runtime between 5 and 30 hours depending on brightness and lighting mode
The inclusion of Matter means the lamp can integrate with major smart home platforms including Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings.
