Govee has officially launched its new Outdoor Wall Floodlight, combining powerful security lighting with customisable smart lighting for gardens, driveways and patios, delivering up to 3,000 lumens. The smart wall floodlight supports Matter over WiFi and of course Apple Home

The Outdoor Wall Floodlight produces up to 3,000 lumens of brightness, making it suitable for illuminating large outdoor areas while also acting as a security light.
It features an adjustable white colour temperature ranging from 1,000K to 10,000K, allowing users to switch between warm ambient lighting and bright daylight-style illumination. Govee has also included RGBWW LEDs, enabling the light to display more than 16 million colours for decorative lighting throughout the year.
The floodlight includes a built-in PIR motion sensor with a 120-degree field of view. The sensor automatically detects movement and turns the light on when someone approaches, while its position can be adjusted during installation to better suit the mounting location. It is also IP65 rated for outdoor use
Connectivity and Apple Home
The Outdoor Wall Floodlight supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Matter, making it compatible with a wide range of smart home ecosystems.
For Apple users, Matter support means the floodlight can be added directly to Apple Home, allowing it to be controlled alongside other Matter-certified accessories. Once paired, users can turn the light on or off with Siri, include it in scenes and automations, and control it through the Home app alongside compatible smart home devices.
As with other Matter accessories, advanced lighting effects and some product-specific features still require the Govee App. Users can choose from preset lighting scenes that range from holidays themes through everyday ambient lighting options.
