Apple Maps gets 2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World

The 2026 Formula 1 season begins next month on March 6-8 and marking Apple’s first year with exclusive streaming rights in the United States via Apple TV.

To celebrate the start of the season, Apple is promoting the F1 season in Apple Maps with a new guide. It is titled “2026 Formula 1 Tracks Around the World.”

Apple has also launched a new Apple Maps experience for the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Australian Grand Prix 2026, with additional circuits set to follow throughout the year.

In Apple Maps, F1 fans can explore detailed circuit layouts featuring turn numbers, grandstands, and even a 3D model of the F1 Pit Garage. For fans attending the Australian Grand Prix in person, the enhanced Maps experience also makes navigation easier, helping visitors find their way around the venue.

New Grand Prix features include realistic track kerbs, labelled 3D grandstands and footbridges, plus all 14 corners clearly marked on the circuit. Pop up locations highlight race entry gates, amenities such as restrooms, water stations, first aid points, and merchandise stands, complete with walking directions to each grandstand.

Additionally, because Melbourne is a street circuit, you can switch between Explore and Satellite view in Apple Maps to see how the layout changes between race weekend and the rest of the year.

Two particularly noticeable examples stand out. Along the pit straight, moving into Street View lets you see the grandstand fully assembled when viewing from the pit lane. Then at Turn 4, which normally runs through a car park, you can clearly compare how the circuit looks before and after race setup simply by switching between Explore and Satellite views.

As an F1 fan myself its great to see these types of insights and explore circuits and I am looking forward to seeing what other circuits are added.

Starting this year, Apple TV subscribers in the United States can stream every Formula 1 race at no additional cost.
