Robin ProLine Doorbell gets HomeKit Secure Video support

Robin Telecom has announced that both the ProLine Doorbell and Robin ProLine Compact are now compatible with Apple’s own HomeKit Secure Video.  Both models are the only HSV compatible doorbells on the market.

To get support for HomeKit Secure Video, you will need to update your video doorbell within the Robin app, to version 1.6.0 for this to work.

Using HSV on the ProLine Video Doorbell you can stream and record video. Once the footage has been captured, it is then analysed by your HomeKit hub for a person, animal, or vehicle. It is then uploaded to iCloud for secure storage with a 10-day recording history. You can also receive notifications in real time and respond to callers with the two-way talking feature.

Until now, only the Circle 2 supported HSV, but now the ProLine Doorbell and Robin ProLine Compact have joined the party. You can read more about HomeKit Secure Video and everything you need to know.
