LIFX has revealed at CES 2026 its new Everyday products aimed at entry level buyers, LIFX is also introducing updated premium hardware, including a SuperColor bathroom mirror and a fully featured in wall smart dimmer. Later 2026, the company plans to introduce a Thread upgrade for its current generation of smart lighting products.
LIFX SuperColor Mirror
The new SuperColor Mirror is a damp rated bathroom fixture with both front and back lighting. It includes specialised modes such as Make Up Check and an integrated anti fog function, making it a functional upgrade as well as a smart one.
Built directly into the mirror are three configurable buttons. These can be assigned to lighting scenes or used to control other Matter enabled smart home devices, turning the mirror into a control surface rather than a passive accessory.
LIFX Smart Dimmer
The LIFX Smart Dimmer is an in wall switch designed to control both smart and traditional lighting. It features four customisable buttons alongside an eight zone gradient light bar for visual feedback.
The dimmer supports TRIAC dimming, allowing it to control compatible LED, halogen, and incandescent bulbs. While the deepest scene and effect controls are reserved for LIFX smart lights, the dimmer can also control other Matter compatible lighting products.
Through single press, double press, and long press gestures, the Smart Dimmer can trigger broader smart home actions. These include adjusting Matter enabled blinds or starting tasks such as robot vacuum cleaning, extending its role beyond lighting alone.
Expanding Access With the LIFX Everyday Range
To complement its premium SuperColor products, LIFX is expanding its Everyday range. This lineup is aimed at users who want reliable, high quality smart lighting at a lower price point without sacrificing colour performance.
Everyday Bulb A19
The Everyday A19 bulb delivers 800 lumens of brightness with full colour and tunable white support. It maintains LIFX’s signature 90 plus CRI colour accuracy while launching at a price point of around ten dollars per bulb. This makes it easier to equip entire rooms with smart lighting rather than limiting it to a few feature areas.
Everyday Lightstrip
The Everyday Lightstrip measures 20 feet and can be extended up to 40 feet. It features 24 addressable lighting zones for colour morphing and dynamic effects.
Included with the strip is a four button physical controller that allows instant access to favourite scenes or direct control of other Matter enabled devices, offering immediate interaction without opening an app.
Matter and Thread Take Centre Stage
LIFX continues to deepen its commitment to open smart home standards. In 2026, the company plans to introduce a Thread upgrade for its current generation of smart lighting products.
This upgrade will allow users to choose between traditional Wi Fi connectivity or Thread, enabling a low latency mesh network that improves reliability and range as more smart devices are added to the home. For Matter users, this provides greater flexibility and long term value without forcing a single connectivity approach.
