SwitchBot has released the Keypad Vision Pro

SwitchBot has launched the Keypad Vision Pro, a premium add on for its smart locks that pairs with Lock Pro and Lock Ultra, and brings Apple Home support via Matter.

The main upgrade is multi layer biometrics with two contactless options. 3D facial recognition uses depth sensing and on device processing to authenticate in as little as 0.3 seconds, with infrared illumination for reliable use in low light. Palm recognition adds a second touch free method, using palm vein or print style data, which is ideal when your hands are wet, dirty, gloved, or full.

It still covers the everyday basics too, making it easy to handle guests and family access. You get numeric passcodes on the physical keypad, NFC cards for tap to unlock, and app based unlocking through SwitchBot.

Power is flexible, with a built in rechargeable lithium battery rated for up to around a year per charge in typical use, plus support for 12 to 24V AC or DC wired power for a more permanent install.

To get Apple Home integration, you pair it with a compatible lock and the SwitchBot Hub 3. From there it shows up in the Home app via Matter, letting you use automations and Siri voice control.

Pricing is US$129.99 direct from SwitchBot, with a 20% coupon currently dropping it to roughly US$104. You can also pick it up as a bundle with the SwitchBot Smart Lock Ultra via Amazon.
