Onvis are planning the release of its first lighting product, called the Kameleon K1. The new HomeKit compatible smart light strip will feature the ability to set zones of colour along the strip. Along with the ability to set transitions and colour effects for individual LED’s.
The Onvis Kameleon can allow users to set zones of colour along the strip. This means you can set different colours for various sections of the strip, hence the name perhaps. Users will also be able to programme preset colours, various effects and transition of colour along the individual LED’s.
Onvis has opted for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi for connectivity for the Kameleon and it will connect to HomeKit without a hub. Onvis are making the Kameleon available in 2 and 5 meter lengths, but you cannot extend or cut the strip.
The controller for the Onvis Kameleon K1 three has buttons with the top and bottom set controlling the brightness of the light strip, similar to the Nanoleaf Essentials light strip, it also features a central button that turns the device on or off. In addition, with suggesting a long press will cycle through preset colours.
We will follow this up with review once the final device is released and made official. In the meantime, don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram for more HomeKit news.
