Last call: Belkin shutting down support for Wemo devices

Belkin is shutting down support for most Wemo smart home accessories, final services ending tomorrow, January 31, 2026. Users of Apple Home unaffected.

Once the deadline passes, users will lose access to app based control, remote access, voice assistant integrations, and technical support across the majority of older Wemo devices. Firmware updates will also stop.

Wemo accessories configured with Apple Home or Thread will remain usable, including the Wemo Smart Light Switch 3 Way, Wemo Stage Smart Scene Controller, Wemo Smart Plug with Thread, and the Wemo Smart Video Doorbell Camera.

Belkin says customers with Wemo products still under warranty on or after January 31, 2026 may qualify for partial refunds with the The list of discontinued products is extensive spanning devices released as far back as 2015.

  • Wemo Humidifier,
  • Wemo CrockPot,
  • Wemo Coffee Maker,
  • Wi Fi Baby Monitor,
  • Wemo Motion Sensor,
  • Wemo Insight,
  • Multiple generations of Wemo smart plugs and light switches.
  • Even relatively recent products such as the Wemo Outdoor Plug from 2023 and the Wemo Mini Smart Plug from 2023 are affected.

Apple Home users not effected

The only products unaffected are those already integrated with Apple Home via HomeKit or built on Thread, which will continue to function locally beyond the cutoff.
