Aqara releases its Radiator Thermostat W600 with Thread

Aqara has announced the launch of its Radiator Thermostat W600, first previewed at IFA 2025. The W600 upgrades traditional radiators with smart, energy-efficient heating control, offering precise temperature management, automated scheduling, and seamless Matter compatibility via Thread or Zigbee.

Designed for sustainable, room-by-room heating, the W600 helps reduce energy waste by allowing up to seven daily schedules per room and responding to real-time triggers such as occupancy, geofencing, or open windows (when paired with contact sensors). It can preheat rooms before arrival, pause heating when unoccupied, and regulate comfort more accurately when paired with an external Aqara sensor. Temperature adjustments are precise to ±0.5°C, with grouped radiator control and support for mobile apps and voice assistants. Quiet operation below 30 dB ensures it won’t disturb sleep.

With dual Thread/Zigbee support, the thermostat works natively with Matter in Thread mode across platforms like Alexa, Apple Home, Google Home, and SmartThings—no Aqara hub required. Switching to Zigbee enables advanced automation features through the Aqara Home app.

The W600 offers expanded compatibility with common European radiator valves, a flippable LED display for flexible installation, and up to two years of battery life from two AA batteries.

Aqara’s new W600 joins its W500 floor thermostat and W100 climate sensor, forming a next-generation HVAC lineup for the European market. The Radiator Thermostat W600 is available now via Aqara’s website, authorised retailers, and Amazon stores across Europe and the UK.
