Xthings is using CES 2026 to introduce two new flagship ULTRALOQ smart locks that showcase a Smarter Access approach.
The company plans to enable this through a combination of Ultra Wideband presence detection, planned Aliro support for NFC and UWB digital keys, next generation biometrics such as palm vein and 3D facial recognition, and wider interoperability through Matter, Thread, and long range Z Wave.
ULTRALOQ Latch 7 Pro
Scheduled to launch in Q1 2026, the ULTRALOQ Latch 7 Pro is positioned as the company’s standards first, professional grade latch style smart lock. It is engineered to meet BHMA and ANSI requirements and is designed to work across multiple smart home ecosystems rather than locking homeowners into a single proprietary platform.
Interoperability is central to the Latch 7 Pro design. The lock is planned to support Aliro, which aims to standardize digital keys across phones, wearables, and lock manufacturers. Connectivity will include Matter over Thread for fast, local first performance, helping keep unlocking responsive even when cloud services are unavailable.
For installations that rely on Z Wave, Latch 7 Pro will also support long range Z Wave using the Z Wave 800 Series platform. This brings extended coverage, fewer repeaters in larger homes, and improved battery efficiency, making it suitable for both residential and professional installs.
The Latch 7 Pro will also support Matter and Apple Home. Which means users will be able to control the smart lock via the Home App and Siri.
The Latch 7 Pro is expected to ship in early 2026.
ULTRALOQ Bolt Sense
Arriving in Q2 2026, ULTRALOQ Bolt Sense takes a different approach by focusing on biometric identity rather than phones, apps, or PIN codes. Bolt Sense combines 3D facial recognition with palm vein authentication, reading sub surface vein patterns to deliver touch free entry.
This dual biometric system is designed to be more forgiving than fingerprint based locks, handling wet or dry hands, worn fingerprints, and hands full arrivals more reliably. Palm vein recognition is still relatively new in consumer smart locks, but it is gaining attention as a strong balance between convenience and security.
Bolt Sense also includes active approach sensing, removing the need to search for a keypad or sensor, alongside advanced infrared and adaptive low light performance that allows the system to function from total darkness to harsh daylight.
With built in Wi Fi and planned Matter support, Bolt Sense is designed to integrate cleanly into modern smart home platforms, aiming to make smart access feel more like an always on experience and less like ongoing setup and troubleshooting.
Xthings expects the Bolt Sense to launch in the second quarter of 2026.
Bolt Mission UWB now available
Alongside its new announcements, Xthings confirmed that the ULTRALOQ Bolt Mission UWB deadbolt is now available to purchase for US$299. First unveiled at CES 2025, Bolt Mission UWB brings Ultra Wideband precision to hands free unlocking.
By using UWB to understand distance and direction, the lock is designed to unlock intentionally as you arrive, while reducing the risk of accidental triggers. I
The Bolt Mission also works with Matter and Apple Home. Although its unclear if the lock will support Home Key. Xthings has also confirmed they plan to support Aliro once it launches later in Q1 2026.
