Belkin, this week has revealed their latest HomeKit enabled device, the Wemo Wi-Fi Smart Outdoor Plug. The new outdoor plug is features a dual outlet similar to the Meross version and is available in the US.
The dual outlet comes with an IP44 waterproof rating, although like the Meross version, I would not recommend this for heavy water applications. It also utilises 2.4GHz WiFi for connectivity and is suitable for North America.
In terms of Smart control, it works with HomeKit out of the box with no additional hub required. But despite there being two power outlets, you can only control them as one outlet. Which seems rather odd as you may want to attach different appliances to it. Whereas the Meross option exposes both outlets individually via HomeKit.
Belkin has it listed on their site as shipping in late October for $39.99 and also available via Amazon.com.
