eufy indoorCam HomeKit enabled camera revealed

Details of the Eufy IndoorCam which is HomeKit enabled has been revealed via the company’s social media pages. The information, first spotted by KingKarl-TM on the HomeKit subreddit today, shows 2 cameras that appear to support HomeKit.

Besides this, iMore found details to this new eufy indoorCam camera in the eufy Security app with the wording “BETA.” The eufy IndoorCam Pan 2k, will feature a panning and tilt functionality. Other details suggested the Homekit camera will support Bluetooth connectivity along with Wi-Fi, micro-SD card compatibility for storage. It will also support activity zones and RTSP streaming support.

What is not clear is if the new indoor cameras will support HomeKit Secure Video? However, given the eufyCam 2 is getting the feature via a firmware update. So it will surprise me if the eufy IndoorCam didn’t support the Apple privacy feature.

Although details are scarce on the pricing and launch date. I reached out to an eufy rep who confirmed the camera will come during first half 2020. They are also running a giveaway for a chance to win a free indoor camera on its website.
