THIRDREALITY has announced it will be at IFA 2026 in Berlin, where it plans to showcase a range of new Matter over Thread and Zigbee smart home products.
If you don’t know who THIRDREALITY are, the company specialises in smart home technology with a focus on reliable, user-friendly and practical connected devices. Its product range includes sensors, switches, smart plugs, lighting, controllers and other automation products using Matter, Thread, Zigbee and Wi-Fi.
New Matter over Thread Devices
For Apple Home users, one of the more interesting announcements is a new range of Matter over Thread devices.
The upcoming lineup includes:
- Smart Soil Moisture Sensor – designed for plant care and automated watering setups.
- Smart Button – provides physical control for smart home scenes and automations.
- Smart Plug – offers connected appliance control and energy monitoring.
- Smart Bulb – provides Matter-compatible smart lighting.
Because the devices use Matter over Thread, they are designed to work across major Matter-compatible smart home platforms, including Apple Home.
New Zigbee Security Products
Alongside its Matter lineup, THIRDREALITY will also demonstrate a new Zigbee-based home security system.
This includes a Siren, Keypad, Motion Sensor and Door Sensor, allowing users to monitor doors and movement around the home and trigger audible alerts.
The new products expand THIRDREALITY’s existing Zigbee range beyond individual sensors into a more complete security setup.
ThirdStage HelpLink Smart Care
THIRDREALITY will also use IFA to introduce ThirdStage HelpLink Smart Care, a modular system designed to help older people live independently at home.
The system starts with a hub speaker, emergency buttons and a family app, allowing someone to request help using either their voice or a physical button.
Additional modules can then be added for activity monitoring, room speakers, air-quality monitoring, bedside vital and sleep awareness, and medication management.
Availability
THIRDREALITY says its new Matter over Thread and Zigbee products are planned for release during the second half of 2026.
Final pricing and availability will be announced closer to launch, while the company’s existing Zigbee products will continue to be supported.
