Shelly Dimmer Gen 4 gains Matter support and launches in the US

To coincide with its US launch, Shelly has updated the Dimmer Gen4 to support Matter. Already available in Europe since November 2025, the compact smart home module is designed to turn a regular light into a smart one, allowing control via an app or voice assistants. Matter support means it can be used in multiple ecosystems including Apple Home.

The Shelly Dimmer Gen4 builds on the previous Dimmer Gen3, adding Zigbee alongside existing Wi Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. Matter support means it can integrate with a wide range of smart home platforms, including Apple Home, Google Home, and Home Assistant.

Designed to fit behind a standard wall switch, the Dimmer Gen4 works with or without a neutral wire. It supports up to 150W dimmable LED lamps, up to 200W incandescent bulbs, and up to 200W halogen lamps. The unit features a green casing intended to remain hidden inside the switch box and measures 38.5 x 43.5 x 17.0 mm.

The Shelly Dimmer Gen4 is now available from the Shelly US online store priced at $49.99 and the EU.
