SwitchBot Bot now available with rechargeable battery

SwitchBot has announced the SwitchBot Bot Rechargeable, an updated version of its original button-pressing smart device. It keeps the same core function: physically pressing buttons and rocker switches to automate devices without rewiring or replacing them. It installs with adhesive and requires no tools.

The main change is a built-in 370mAh lithium battery. It charges via USB-C and is rated for up to 6 months per charge based on one press per day. This removes the need for disposable batteries. It supports both one-way buttons and rocker switches, just like the original. Control is handled through the SwitchBot app, or via voice and automations when paired with a SwitchBot hub.

With a Matter-enabled SwitchBot hub, it works with platforms including Apple Home, Alexa, and Google Assistant. This enables remote control, scheduling, and sensor-based automations.

Typical uses include turning on heaters, coffee machines, or other appliances with physical buttons, without modifying the device itself.

The SwitchBot Bot Rechargeable is priced at £33.99 in the UK at Amazon, the US for $33.99  and EU €33.99 and is available through SwitchBot’s website and Amazon.
