Remembering Steve Jobs on what would have been his 71st Birthday

On this day in 1955, Steve Jobs was born, a figure who would go on to shape not only Apple but the entire technology industry.

Together with Steve Wozniak, Jobs co founded Apple on April 1, 1976. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the company’s founding, a milestone that highlights just how far Apple has come. During his early years at Apple, Jobs helped oversee the development of iconic products including the Apple II, the Lisa, and most famously the original Macintosh, which launched on January 24, 1984 and changed personal computing forever.

Following internal struggles, Jobs left Apple in 1985 and founded NeXT. It wasn’t until 1997 that he returned to an Apple that was struggling financially. As CEO, and following Apple’s acquisition of NeXT, he helped steer the company back on course, beginning with the launch of the iMac. From there, Apple entered a new era, introducing products that would define modern technology, including the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, alongside the continued evolution of the Mac lineup. These products transformed Apple into one of the most influential and valuable companies in the world.

Today, Apple’s ecosystem spans Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and a growing range of software and services including Apple that continue to shape how billions of people work, create, and communicate every day.

Steve Jobs resigned from Apple on August 24, 2011, and sadly passed away six weeks later on October 5, 2011. His legacy remains deeply embedded not only in Apple’s products but in the way modern technology is designed and experienced.

Thank you Steve.
