eufy has announced the launch of its new flagship robot vacuum, the Omni S2, setting a new benchmark for deep cleaning in the smart home. Revealed ahead of CES 2026, where it has been named a Best of Innovation award winner, the Omni S2 combines high suction power, advanced mopping technology, and AI driven intelligence with the industry’s first built in aromatherapy system for a robot vacuum.
It also offers Matter and Apple Home support, meaning it can be added to the Home App on iOS devices for use in automations and control
A New Approach to Deep Cleaning
At the core of the Omni S2 is eufy’s upgraded HydroJet 2.0 self cleaning mopping system. Unlike traditional robot mops, HydroJet 2.0 electrolyzes tap water to eliminate up to 99.99 percent of common household germs, ensuring hard floors are actively sanitized during each cleaning cycle rather than simply wiped.
The mopping system uses dual scraper mechanisms that clean the mop rollers six times per second, continuously removing dirty water from floor surfaces. With 15 newtons of downward pressure, currently the highest in the industry for a robotic mopping system, the Omni S2 is designed to tackle dried on dirt, spills, and stubborn stains more effectively than previous generations.
For the first time in the robot vacuum category, an aromatherapy system has been built directly into the cleaning process. During cleaning cycles, the Omni S2 releases a subtle fragrance into the air, adding whole home freshness while it cleans. Available scents include Citrus and Basil, Bamboo and Sage, and Bergamot and Lychee.
30,000 Pa Suction and Advanced Carpet Handling
Vacuuming performance is handled by the AeroTurbo 2.0 system, delivering up to 30,000 pascals of suction, placing the Omni S2 among the most powerful robot vacuums announced to date.
A dual zero tangle brush system captures hair and debris without clogging, reducing manual maintenance. Cyclone separation technology helps keep the filter clear for up to 90 days, maintaining consistent suction performance over time.
The Omni S2 automatically detects carpet type and adjusts suction power accordingly. It can increase pressure for thicker carpets, clean carpet piles up to 50 millimetres deep, and cross thresholds up to 35 millimetres. An adaptive chassis allows the robot to lift by up to 5 centimetres, enabling it to navigate layered rugs, thick mats, and shag carpets without getting stuck.
Intelligent Cleaning and Fully Automated Maintenance
The Omni S2 combines its CleanMind AI system with the UniClean Station 2.0 to deliver a highly autonomous cleaning experience.
Using next generation 3D sensing and machine learning, the robot can identify and avoid more than 200 common household obstacles, including cables, shoes, toys, and everyday clutter. The 3D MatrixEye 2.0 system also detects rug tassels to prevent tangling and unnecessary interruptions.
Advanced stain recognition allows the Omni S2 to identify over 40 different types of messes, including food spills and pet footprints. Based on what it detects, the robot dynamically adjusts water output, mop pressure, and scrubbing duration to match the surface and level of soiling.
The system recognises rooms, furniture placement, and floor types, creating a detailed 3D map within the companion app for more accurate navigation and efficient whole home cleaning.
Maintenance is handled entirely by the UniClean Station 2.0. The station automatically empties the dustbin, washes and dries the mop, refills clean water, and manages detergent without user input. It also generates hypochlorous acid and ozone water directly in the water tank, delivering up to a 99.99 percent reduction in pathogens.
The built in aromatherapy system is housed within the station, releasing fragrance during each cleaning cycle to enhance the overall cleaning experience.
Matter and Apple Home Integration
The Omni S2 supports Matter, enabling cross platform smart home compatibility and long term interoperability across major ecosystems. For Apple users, this means native integration with Apple Home, allowing the robot vacuum to be added directly to the Home app alongside other connected devices.
Through Apple Home, the Omni S2 can be included in scenes and automations, such as starting a cleaning cycle when everyone leaves the house or pausing operation when someone arrives home. Matter support also reduces reliance on proprietary platforms, helping ensure continued functionality and compatibility as smart home standards evolve.

The eufy Omni S2 robot vacuum will be available for pre sale from January 6 with a launch discount ahead of its full release on January 20, priced at £1599.99 and $1599.99 It will be available through eufy.com and Amazon.
